What do you look for in an employee?
American Background looks for team players that thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Qualified candidates should demonstrate a willingness to learn new things, a strong sense of urgency, and the ability to multi-task. Bilingual skills are a strong plus, especially in our Verifications and Client Care departments. Most positions also have specific requirements regarding minimum typing speeds.

What type of training is provided to new employees?
Training is a continual process at American Background. The length of initial new-hire training depends on the department and the individual, typically one or two weeks. Most departments have a departmental trainer who will train or retrain as needed. New hires also participate in a training rotation within the first several months of their employment. The training rotations offer a better idea of the functions and processes of each different department and how they fit into the company as a whole. American Background also offers weekly training and individual sessions that are open to all employees, whether they have been here for five days or five years.
Will a thorough background investigation be completed on me?
Yes, we conduct a background investigation on all of our employees. Applicants are also required to complete a drug screen.
