Protect yourself from joining the 10 million Americans affected by identity theft last year by attending our 2nd Annual Community Shred It Day. Shredding prevents a growing threat of theft and fraudulent takeover of identity and benefits the environment. All shredded items will be recycled—one ton of paper saves 682 gallons of oil, 7,000 gallons of water and 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space!
American Background invites you to join us between 10am to 2pm at the Winchester office. Free onsite shredding will be available. Individuals can bring up to five boxes. Items may include all paper types, staples, paper clips, credit cards and CDs. The Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum will collect scrap metal to build Virginia’s first “Green Museum.” Guard-A-Kid, BK Security, and the Winchester Police will also be available to help you secure yourself and your family!
